Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs

What is kombucha?

A tart, effervescent, and detoxifying fermented tea packed full of probiotics, digestive enzymes, organic acids, as well as several vitamins. During the fermentation process, the symbiotic culture of healthy bacteria and yeast (S.C.O.B.Y.) metabolizes our proprietary blend of organic green tea, organic black tea and organic cane sugar. Resulting in a healthy, delicious and refreshing beverage.

Does kombucha contain CAFFEINE?

Kombucha contains small amounts of naturally occurring caffeine from the green and black teas. During the fermentation process, the kombucha culture consumes much of the natural caffeine as a nutrient, although some is left behind. Our lab tests show natural caffeine contents of about 23 to 24 milligrams per can (which is about half of what’s in a soda). Do not consume if you are avoiding caffeine or consult with a physician.

Does kombucha contain alcohol?

Kombucha contains trace amounts of natural alcohol as a byproduct of the fermentation process. The FDA and TTB consider products with levels under <.5% ABV NON ALCOHOLIC. We have a in-house lab where each batch is tested throughout the fermentation process as well as perform routine third party audits to ensure compliance for NON ALCOHOL certification. Do not consume if you are avoiding alcohol or consult with your caregiver.

What is nitro cold brew?

Cold steeped coffee infused with food grade nitrogen resulting in a less bitter, more flavorful brew with a smooth, velvety mouthfeel and a lasting freshness. The process of cold brewing coffee replaces damaging heat with mellowing time, extracting more flavor but less oils (bitterness). The infusion of food grade nitrogen creates a creamy head as a result of the tiny nitrogen bubbles cascading both flavor and aroma to the surface.
