Maui-based Vitalitea Hawaiʻi received the 2021 Good Food Awards in the Elixirs’s category for its flagship flavor “Restore,” a craft kombucha made from 100 percent Maui grown pineapple, according to a news release.

The Good Food Foundation annually honors American craft food producers that create tasty, authentic and responsible food systems, honoring social and environmental responsibility, craftsmanship and flavor.

VitaliTea Hawai’i was founded by craft brewers in search of balance and with the mission to craft healthy beverages that align with a healthy and active lifestyle.

The company crafts 100 percent Hawai’i made Kombucha and Nitro Cold Brew coffee by using fresh cold-pressed and local tropical fruits, roots and herbs.

Kombucha is a fermented, lightly effervescent, sweetened black or green tea drink commonly consumed for its health benefits.

VitaliTea Hawaiʻi transformed an abandoned algae farm into a solar-powered production brewery and package its beverages in infinitely recyclable cans made on O’ahu.
